My chicken is acting weird

I have a hen that has been broody before but never hatched eggs! But here lately she has been acting like a broody hen but she does not sit on the nest all she does is lay an egg and then gets off? She is getting aggressive off the nest fluffs up and growls when I come up to her! And she tryed to attack my dog the other day! And she is sitting on the ground when I approach her! Is she trying to go broody?

Sounds like she is beginning to go broody. I'm guessing she will go fully broody in a few days or so. You could break her, or hatch eggs. If you want to hatch, make sure she is broody for a few days, just sitting on eggs and not leaving.
