MY CHICKEN IS DEPRESSED!!!

I have two 3 year old chickens, today one of them died and when I walked into the coop I saw the other chicken in the corner not moving at all. Now my chicken isn’t clucking (she always clucks) and when I picked her up and put her back down she doesn’t really move, I gave her food and she didn’t eat it so I made her vegetables which she ate, I am keeping a close eye on her and she’s in the coop sitting there doing nothing, she seems depressed and I’m not sure how to make you happy again, please help me make her happy again

The chicken probably feels lonely, and may need a new friend soon. Since they are flock animals, keeping one chicken by itself is not optimal. Hopefully she feels better soon!

What did the other bird die from?
Could be the remaining bird is also ill.
Give her time, keep a close eye.

Thankyou @aart for replying, the other chicken died form old age we believe, the chicken looks like shes in perfect condition but her comb is purple and red
