I have a Black Sex Link rooster that is about 1 1/2 months old and a Rhode Island Red hen that is about 2 months old and they are having a hard time going to the bathroom. I don't know of any vets to call or take them to. Does anyone know what to do for home remedies??

They are still eating chick starter that i buy at my local feed store. Their poop looks watery and white along with their regular green poo. They chrip as well when they try to poop. It looks like they might be in pain because they puff up when they try.

I don't really know about diseases and stuff, but I have personally used plain, active culture yogurt to firm up runny poo. It will help nourish them and add friendly flora to their digestive system. If they like the yogurt plain, great... if not, mix about 1 tsp in with their starter to make a moist mash. Another thing that would not hurt and just might help is putting apple cider vinegar in their drinking water. I'm not sure how much - I just use a tiny splash for a chick waterer - but you can search the forums if you would like more information.

Good luck! I hope they are OK!
