Update: I regret to inform you all that my sick hen has died. I thank you all for helping me and giving very valuable advice. Its a learning experience that unfortunately had a bad ending but at least she is in no more pain and she is safe and happy in chicken heaven. I can't thank you all enough for you support. I feel very blessed to have such great people to help me through this experience. Thank you again and you are all such a great flock to be apart of and I am proud to be apart of it.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It is good that she is not suffering. If you want to have the state vet do a necropsy on her to find the cause of death, then refrigerate her body and call the number on this link for your state vet to ask about a necropsy: http://www.usaha.org/Portals/6/StateAnimalHealthOfficials.pdf
