My chicken is skinny, lethargic, and is laying bloody eggs. Any advice?

Ask a friend or family member if they can take photos with their phone.

It would be really good if you can find a vet to see both your hens since you have a couple of ongoing issues.
I can get pictures I just can't get them onto the computer, and the nearest vet is 1 or 2 hours away.

Oh, I see.
@nuthatched or @Kiki do ya'll have an suggestions about getting photos from phone to computer?
I don't know, I just let my phone talk to my computer it sends stuff when I want it to or I can plug it into the computer - something like that, I'm not a techno guru...😝

What type of camera? If it's digital, it can be attached via a cable or have a memory card taken out and inserted in to the slot on the computer.
It depends on the age of the tech in question

You can log in to BYC from a phone and uoad them that way.
You can email them to yourself from your phone...then log in to your email on your computer.

I can't get pictures. As a layer, we have a mix for layer feed of barley, peas, flax, oats, and alfalfa. She also gets feed-grade lime, diatomaceous earth, and sunflower seeds.
As for treats, she gets kitchen scraps and bugs when she can get them.
I'm sorry your bird is not doing well, but I highly suggest that you stop feeding all of these treats because it is most likely the reason she prolapsed to begin with.

Feed just the layer feed.

The layer feed, if it is a crumble or a pellet, is a balanced diet. It has almost everything that your bird needs in order to stay healthy.
When you feed stuff besides the complete balanced diet you are taking away from the bird getting a balanced diet.
Sunflower seeds are high in fat. Fat birds will have laying type issues really quickly. It is also almost impossible for you to tell your bird is fat by just looking at it. The amount, which makes a chicken fat, is so little that you can't even tell by looking at a bird.
If you spend a little bit of time and read through every one of these, you will notice that weight is a cause for these issues.

Can you take photos on your phone and then upload them, and if so, how do you do it?

Well it's a mix of grains, and I just got supplements for them and she's doing better already

I still want to mix my feed, what should I have in there so that the chickens have enough of everything they need to lay 1 egg a day? Yesterday I went to town and got some high-protein supplements and high-protein treats, and her feathers are starting to look better. The swelling in the vent has gone down and it looks normal. She is also gaining weight (she was a featherweight when I started) and also is less skinny. Thanks!:ya
