My chicken just swallowed my plastic earring ( new chicken owner , what do I do)

Just 25 mintues ago my chicken pecked out my earring and swallowed it , felt her crop and its not there! What do I do , I dont want her to die!

Generally, if it fit going in, it will fit coming out. You didn't mention its size or shape. You might give her a few bites of bread. I wouldn't poke at her crop any more -- just watch her, and make sure she has plenty to eat and drink.

Chickens have eaten all sorts of things without a problem. Let's hope this is just one more.

Maybe she dropped it... And you missed it. Did it have a post on it? I think you are just going to have to wait.

I have read other posts about this saying you should kill the chicken , but this is not what i intend ! it is a fairly big plastic pearl , the size of a big peawell it looked like one too

, but the pearl is not waht i am worried about , will the post kill her if it gets stuck?
