My chicken lays shell less eggs

Ok so I have a pullet started to lay eggs her first one was perfect but now she's on her 3rd egg with no shell she's on purina layers crumbles oyster shell offered in a container to grab as much as she needs looks healthy but I'm starting to worry culling is not a option i want because she's my only one from that breed any experience on this or thoughts thank you.

I'm sure she'll be fine - just give her time. It's normal for new layers to lay soft eggs. It will take a little time for her system to get in sync.

Just because you make something available doesn't mean they are eating it. Chickens are a creature of habit. They are fearful of new things. I'd throw some irresistible scratch in the shell feeder for a day just to get them in the habit of using it. If all else fails add some pulverized oyster shell to their water. Some not a lot.

I added pulverized oyster shell to feed i tried scratch on it but she just pecked out the scratch and scatter the shells water sounds like a good idea.

With the layer feed, and the available oyster shell,
I would not dose the water or add more calcium to feed.
As a new layer she doesn't have huge need for calcium yet,
and the softshells are just part of her system getting up and running.

Do you have other birds that are laying fine?
Ages and how long laying would be good to know.

Calcium itself is not the only thing it takes to make good shells,
there are other nutrients the make the calcium work as it should.
Too many treats can be part of the problem.

I cut all treats i do have other hen laying fine she's 7 months old so far one strong egg and 3 soft eggs

Give her time, new layers can take a few weeks to work out the kinks.

Thank your to all my hen layed a nice strong egg today i was worried she wouldn't be a good layer it's the only one in its breed so very happy and egg is fertile malay chicks soon to come.
