My babies are probably five weeks old. They’re becoming tamer but still run from me, so I still try to hand feed them some and handle and pet them. I think they’re all roosters but I’m not sure.
My little yellow Sam is the shyest of all... I think Sam is a production red. The other two barred rocks will run up to me and are more likely to approach. But little Sam always keeps a distance but will often lurk in the background just staring at me and twisting its head in confusion. It’ll start to run up to me but then linger back lol
anyway today I lifted Sam and had it on my lap petting iSam squirms and makes
Noises but I started singing lullabies in a very soft voice and noticed it calmed down and would just stare at me. It was so cute!!
eventually Sam had enough of that though and wanted down.
Do chickens like being sang to?? Sometimes the way Sam looks at me is kinda eerie.. like it’s sizing me up and trying to figure me out
