Is she/they broody or laying? When in their nests they often growl or scream because they are vulnerable and feel defensive

OMG I know what you mean...I have a few that SCREAM like they are being strangled.....and they are out in the run!!!

My neighbours love me 10 chickens no roosters and omg the noises they start making around 7am thats with out the happy very loud egg song from each one after they lay perfectly normal im afraid xx
