She stopped laying about the time our group of roosters started acting more mature and that was around February, but she had a fellow hen the same age as her who continued to lay larger and larger eggs (they are both 5 years old). I know it's normal to stop laying around molting time but she started not laying earlier this year and I am starting to wonder if its the stress of having so many roosters.

She seems like she is trying to lay again and sits in the nesting box for hours (she gets up to eat, drink, and socialize) but when she gets up nothing.

Hmmm, that is a tough one. One of my hens looks like she is trying to lay, but this would be her first time and may be a little hard on her. She is the white one in my profile picture, named Panda.

Could be the stress of the males.
How many males, how old are they in months, and will you be getting rid of them?
Could also be that as birds get older they stop laying to molt earlier.

Some bird will go thru the motions but not lay...or maybe she's just hiding from all those males.

I have 4 males that will be turning a year old at the end of November. One that has not matured yet and on that is a year old, I try to only let 2 out a day one to take care of my minis and one to take care of my normal-sized ones but all of the matured hens love the rooster I have put out for them, and all of my pullets and their brother follow my mini rooster. I have a friend who is interested in buying one of the males and I am trying to rehome the others. She has just started molting and is the favorite hen of both of the roosters and I had to switch the large rooster to a friendlier one recently due to aggressiveness to people.
