My 3 month old chicken decided she couldn't walk over night. When we out them to bed she slept on a low roost which was weird. Then the next day she could barely walk. We've isolated her and started treating her for a vitamin deficiency. This morning her poop looked as if it had blood in it, so we added corid to her water. She's eating and drinking just fine and seems very alert. Could I be missing something?

Could you post any pictures of her or her poop? Is she miving both of her legs equally? How do her wings look? Any drooping? I would make sure that she is drinking plent y of water. Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease?

I keep trying and it's not letting attach any files for some reason. We took a video of her trying to walk yesterday

Ones it happened with my hen either, but it was 7 months old. I was told to add calcium to its water and in 2-3 days everything was OK. I don't know anything about a red poop, sorry.

In the first picture she is standing on her right hock. At this age with those symptoms and having problems walking, it could possibly be signs of Mareks disease. Does your vitamin have riboflavin (B2?) If it has riboflavin or if you can use super B complex vitamins 1/4 tablet daily, I would continue that and stop the Corid for now. Corid works as a thiamine (B1) blocker, so I would not give Corid at the same time as vitamins. Here is some reading about Mareks symptoms:

A little update on my chicky choo. She can't walk at all. Still eats and drinks like a horse. I bought vitamins with Riboflavin and have been giving them to her since Wednesday. She tries to stand up all the time but then she flops right down. I can hold her up and steady her and she stays up for awhile. She shuffles herself from one side to the next to get what she needs food or water or getting out of the way after she poops. But, I don't know what else to do. Do I keep doing what we're doing? Or put her out of her misery?
