Chickens on the Tree Lawn coop.

I built a really neat chicken tractor.

Flag pole doubles as a wheel lift.

The cable you see raises and lowers the coop door for the birds to get in an out.

Puling the flag pole toward the ground lowers two dolly wheels. you can see the wheels in the inside coop picture.
Some welding and metal fab were required.

welding.... Metal fab... grrrrr....

I was kind of hoping it was just something you bolted together, although I did start to have second thoughts on just how exactly you would have bolted together the lever handle there.

It could probably be done without welding. The flag pole is 1/2 black pipe going into a reducer to one inch pipe. The axle is 1 inch pipe and is coupled to the flag pole with a "Tee" By drilling a hole into the "Tee" where the axle attaches to the flag pole, and putting a screw there prevents the flag pole from spinning on the axle. (I really should weld that part too, but I'm not going to do any more work on the coop until my chicken ticket for having chickens on my property that never set toe or claw on my property gets resolved.
