My chicken was attacked by a dog, can he get sour crop from lack of movement?

So yesterday my flock was attacked by the neighbors dogs. My rooster fought well but has back injuries (which I’m treating) and is now in a dog crate resting. Anyhow I noticed today he seems to have sour crop. I’m treating that as well but I don’t want to handle him too much due to his wounds. So can a chicken get sour crop due to lack of movement? Could it be the stress that is causing his crop issue?

I have never had an injured bird get sour crop, so it wouldn't necessarily be from not moving, could be he was injured in a way that has affected the crop function.

I didn’t see any injuries except his back. The dog could of squeezed him. I’m not real sure. He’s still with me and it’s been over 24hours so I’m hoping it’s not internal. We lost 2 polish and a Sussex so really don’t want to lose him now. I just wasn’t sure if the stress could of caused a crop issue.

Stress can bring out an underlying problem generally, but you never know. Just because I haven't seen it happen doesn't mean it can't happen. Hopefully he gets better. It's bad enough when one of my dogs are responsible for a chicken death, I can't imagine having the neighbors dogs do it. I would be beyond upset.
