My chickens are attached to their eggs

Maybe she just needs some tough love!!!!!!!!! Find something that she doesn't like and force her to deal with it..... I used to clip my chickens wings when they acted out..... Especially for my roosters, if they attacked me I would hold them down and clip them suckers...... Any way I would recommend that if you have a reasonable sized wire cage that everytime she does that put her in the cage for a couple of hours. with food and water obviously or just try to clip her wings which will make her appear less fierce when she puffs up....... It may be all in my head but I believe it worked for me..... Remember TOUGH LOVE not abuse lol........
 
Can you collect the eggs when she is out in the run? or could you throw some treats in the run or coop so she would get off the eggs long enough to grab them? That is how I get most of my eggs. To them, treats come first.
 
On a side note, my daughter wanted to see what would happen if she put an egg in front of the chickens far out in the yard - I wasn't too excited about this because I don't want them getting the wrong idea. But each chicken she put it in front of, stood over it protectively and faced off any other hen getting close. Too funny. I was still able to get the eggs back.

Sorry - it was just a story. To see what they do when eggs suddenly appear out in the pasture where they don't belong. I do have one broody at the moment, and she's well into her glazed look and hasn't moved for a week. That's how I know the others aren't going broody, they act nothing like her. I can, however, remove eggs from her as well since she's the most laid back hen I've ever seen. She won't even cluck at me. Just ruffles up and looks startled.
 
She won't get off the eggs all day. She will literally just sit on them all day every day. I can dump her out of the bucket to get the eggs but that's about it because she pecks everything else that is trying to get the eggs from her.
