My chickens are going stir crazy

Our guinea fowl go out in some of the most extreme weather and the chickens always seem to follow. We always take a small part of the path to the coop down to bare ground and the birds will be drawn to it. All around our home where there is little or no snow and in the larger potted plant containers they dig and the chickens again follow. Our guinea fowl chased off a coyote 3 weeks ago, and warn against danger in the air. They are really loud when there is something bad going on, and still can be loud when they call each other back into a group. Guineas are loud alot of the time, but can be fearless and give up their lives to warn others.
They are a great combination.
Also when the roosters try and fight, the guineas show them who is really in charge.
Our pearl guineas really seem to dislike mating and fighting .

I found that a covered run makes a long winter seem shorter. I live in Hagerstown, MD and have a run about 14 ft long and four wide, and the chics can go out at will. Then they have a yard they go into if the weather is better. However, mine are also tearing out their bedding, and one biddy won't get off the nest. I know she's "broody" but four weeks? Poor thing--it ain't goin' do her no good, cause there's no rooster!!
