My chickens are not laying very often… should I be worried?

Each of my two hens have not been laying much lately and I'm worried because it is the middle of summer, there has been plenty of sunlight, and they are each only 1 1/3 years old. In one week they only laid three or four times. Is this nothing to be worried about or is there something I should do?

What breeds are they? And do they normally lay more?

It turns out that one hen was just "taking a break" (I guess you could say) and the other one was egg bound. I massaged her gently and they are both doing well now.
