Almost all breeds stop laying in the winter. Its normal. If you’re not in the northern hemisphere then you might have an issue. In any case, that “remedy” is not going to do anything.I have heard of feeding cream of wheat with pepper. Any advise?
we had 100 degrees summer. an early freeze, some of my hens have bald parts. nothing different in the coop. they are getting older. 4-6 years.I saw in your other post that you have had chickens for many years. Is this slow down in laying different than the last year or two? What are their breeds and ages? Have any recently had a heavy molt, or have there been any recent changes in flock or routine? From what I have been learning their is nothing you can feed to “make” them lay, but you do need to make sure they are receiving the proper nutrition to support laying. What type of diet do they get?
