My chickens are sleeping in the nesting boxes

The chickens are sleeping in the nesting boxes. Are theses too high?

How old are they?

A lot of people use 2 x 4 's for roosts (the large flat side). You might find they prefer those- worth a try.

If your chickens are only a couple or three months or even four months old, it is normal for them to shun roosts - not all do- but I have seen it a lot.

Hmm they are definitely old enough to be using roosts LOL.

I have 2 white leghorn and 2 red sexlink and it looks like they have their wings clipped so should I lower the roosts

It may be the sticks are too big around for their feet, chickens do like a comfy size to grab on to when they sleep. Hope all works out
