Not exactly the same, but our chickens kept jumping the small, maybe 3 ft fence into the neighbors’ yard, I was able to train them not to by watching them very closely and shaking the fence when they jumped onto it. We have no issues now even though they could very easily jump the fence anytime they wanted. Point being they are trainable, but without an actual hard boundary, it might be difficult. You maybe could be creative with a boundary and plant a row of shrubs or something if possible?
Another option is to make a large run in a grassy area of the yard since their coop is on a cemented area. They can have supervised free range time when you’re there to watch and the rest of the time you could just walk them over to their run. You could make sure they have a little nest box area in that run to lay in. Since they’re (I assume) not laying yet, they wouldn’t holler at you about making them lay somewhere new all of a sudden if you confined them to a new run.
I walk ours back and forth to their run from our yard multiple times per day and they’re really cooperative about following me. Our set up is a bit different than what I am suggesting as our run is built onto our coop, but you can see how it could work being separate. I think they’re still young enough that major changes won’t make them too upset.
