My chickens aren’t laying yet.

Back in March of this year, I purchases four baby chicks. Three Buff Orpington and 1 Lavendar Orpington. It is now September and they haven’t started laying yet. Is something wrong with them?

Sometimes for those breeds they can start laying anywhere from 6-8 months.

They should start soon. Orpingtons are known to be late layers.

So 26 weeks old?
Might be early yet for Orps....especially this late in the year.
