My chickens ate a nest of mice!

Went to clean out the garage yesterday and our chickens( they are free range) found a nest of baby mice and ate them all! Then they chased the mama! I didn't know chickens ate larger prey than bugs!

Yes, chickens do eat other larger creatures. They supposedly even eat snakes sometimes!

Welcome to BYC! Yes chickens will eat pretty much anything they can catch, mice snakes lizards etc, they are natural pest control
