My chickens don't get it....Help!

I went in the coop to feed and water this morning and there are two more eggs on the floor. I built them a nice set of nesting boxes a few weeks ago. Granted this is just the 2nd and 3rd eggs ever, but how do I get them to lay in the boxes and not on the floor? They actually let these two go off the roost. That was a nice mess....

Do you have fake eggs in the nest boxes?? Or Gold Balls? I used the plastic easter eggs, with a little gravel in them....to teach the pullets where I want them to lay. It doesnt take long...they will get it soon.

Put golf balls or fake eggs in the nest.

Hens don't naturally run up and look for a nest box to lay in. You must TEACH them where you want them to lay. They can't read your mind.

... Although those evil silkies do try.
