They love cheese. They go wild over cheese.

But they don't like mealworms, crickets, normal worms, grubs, apples, watermelons, seeds, blossoms, flowers, grass, leaves, nuts or anything. Just cheese and chick crumbles. :(

How can I get them to eat something else??

How old are they? Mine don't show interest in treats until they're several months old. But one thing the younger ones like is a yogurt mash. I grind up some chick feed with oats and flaxseed meal, then mix it with fresh unflavored yogurt, thick enough that it looks crumbly and not wet. They love it, and it's great for their immunity. My full-grown hens will eat about anything I put in front of them, except for carrots and mushy fruits.

Chickens are often afraid of new things, especially new foods. It may take several attempts for them to be willing to try new things.

Sometimes mixing a new food with their favorite food will help them get over the fear.

I'm kinda in teh same boat...with this group of birds they are very hesitant to try new foods and treats that I bring them. I have two ducks mixed in the flock and basically if the ducks don't try it...the chicks don't try it.

I did get them to try apples. I'm glad that they like apples...I have apple trees and it'll be nice having birds to clean up the dropped apples and refuse.

I agree with speckled hen they don't need to have treats. just give them a little bit of care and love
