My chickens don't roost

I did clip thier wings but I also did not put the roosting area all that high and it has different levels too. I have been putting them up every night, and last night a few actually did it on thier own, so it all seems to be working out. Yes there was a roosting area in the coop they came from, but also a bale of straw the guy said they liked to sleep on.
