My chickens don't roost?

My chickens are about 11 weeks old and they don't like to sit on a roost, they lay huddled in the corner of their coop together (6 girls), is this normal. Should their nesting box be closed or open to them?

That's not unusual at all. They will eventually roost. It took mine forever too and finally they did

They will eventually learn. Especially if they have only been in the coop for a short period of time. Mine took a few weeks after moving in and now they all roost.
