Well, mucous can be a symptom of Coccidiosis overload...

Were you going to treat with the Corid?

Chickens do usually carry a certain amount of Coccidia but generally they build resistance. If a chicken becomes sick/is not healthy or sometimes weather/environment (hot wet weather) can cause a chicken to have an overload.

Yes recently hear in Alaska we have had really hot weather with high humidity, we where also planning on giving them Corid but haven’t bought it yet.
