my chickens have fleas

Inc., out of curiousity, are your chickens combs starting to have some blackened spots on them too.

I have this problem and have lost two hens in two weeks and they both got blackened spots on their combs prior to going downhill fast. I know it's lice now because I got 4 or 5 on me when I examined one of the Roosters with the same comb and wattle discoloration.

Did they, by any chance, show a video of a chicken with it's head sticking out of a garbage bag being shaken up?

I did the garbage bag thing, or started to, in one coop. the very first chicken (Delaware and calm) did not take to being in a bag. I did get good results when I put a small hole in the bag bottom and put the chicken head through, then, wearing rubber gloves, I grabbed some powder and applied by hand through the bags large opening and held the chickens feet with the other hand.

I stand up-wind so any dust gets blown away from me and the chicken. Good Luck.
