Hi everyone I have chickens that hatched last February so that would make them a year and a half and they have yet to molt. I have barred rocks, RR ,and ameracaunas. As Murphy's law would have it I am headed out of town and I am worried that they will start to molt while I am gone :/ I have some novice chicken sitters coming , but is there any advice I can give them before I leave? .... anything that I can preemptevly do to be fore I leave? Thanks in advance for the heads up... Oh and should I be concerned they haven't molted yet?

That's normal timing for most breeds. They usually won't molt until the second autumn and normally only as days get shorter so that they have a new down coat for winter. Expect them to molt August - October.
They really don't need to do anything differently. I like to add a little animal protein to the diet when they're molting.
