My Chickens Keep Getting Out

I need some advice on keeping my chickens in. I am trying to avoid clipping their wings but I just don't know what to do. I would just let them get out but they have started eating the Styrofoam insulation around the base of my house. Their run is not covered so I need an alternative to that. Thank you

You could put netting over the top of your run. It would keep your chickens from escaping and prevent hawks from entering.

The cheap bird/deer netting from home depot/lowes would keep them in and is doable for large runs.

I put it over a large run that has 3 large trees growing in it. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. I had to piece the netting together with cable ties because I couldn't use one piece of netting and add posts for support in the center. I used deer netting.

I've considered that, but with the amount of leaves, twigs and mistletoe that fall from the trees over the run, I think chicken wire will suit my needs better. The cheap netting did work as a good stop gap to keep them in while I decided what to do for a more permanent solution.

How tall is your fence? Can you add to the height?

Is there a particular reason you don't want to clip wings?
