My chickens love the rain?!

I figured they'd stay inside their coop today since it's been pouring down rain all day, but every time I look outside at least one of the three are outside, pecking away! It's COLD outside, too! I guess they just don't mind...

Yeah, they're kind of weird that way. You'd think they'd want to keep dry on a cold day.

If it's cold I let my chooks out.
If it's raining and cold I make them stay in.
Boy you should hear the protests on those days.

I am helpless to keep the chickens in the barn when it rains. I ope the barn door and I have 50 chickens flying, running walking and clucking for the door. By the time I am in the barn, the rest have gone out as well. My chickens are just crazy about the rain.
