I am concerned about some of chickens. I just got a red production today and when I came home there was blood all over the water dish and it looked like she was pecked on her gobble and her comb. I cleaned her up with some peroxide and put her back in her nesting box. I had seperated the new hens from the olds ones, but I guess they picked at her through the otherside of the fence. Is this okay? Should I do anything else about her comb? It scabs up and looks nasty and from past experience it doesn't really heal.

The main thing is to make sure the other chickens cannot get to her to keep picking at her wound. Chickens are very bad about that.
There are anti-pick products you can use to cover the bloody areas that help heal and keep the chickens from picking. The one I used as called Anti-Pic. I can't remember if the 'pic' was spelled with a 'K' though!! LoL...Anyway, anti-picks are a thick black ointment/salve that you smear on the wounds. It covers the blood so the other chickens don't pic at it.
Most feed stores carry some form of anti-pick product or you can find it on the internet on poultry supply places or amazon and ebay. In the mean time though, keep the area clean and you can use a triple anti biotic ointment. Comb and waddle wounds look ugly for a while but they eventually heal but it can take a awile. Hope this helps!
