My chickens roost

My poultry creatures sleep up in a tree beside my house my emus sleep under it and my ducks sleep in the lake I have been searching the forum for some sweet person that does the same but can’t seem to find any sweet peas that do so I thought I’d share this with my fellow poultry keepers
I have a brick hut that I made myself for them to lay their eggs in and I feed my hens leftover scraps
My hens sleep at the top of the tree some sleep on top of my house too which I think is hilarious

If you have any owls in your area you'll want to watch out. They'll take a chicken right out of the tree. If you don't then you should be good to go.

that just means more food for me as I have set wild creature traps all over my land/territory last night I caught a bald eagle and I’m planning on cooking it tomorrow

I don’t think you have bald eagles down there.

im pretty sure it’s a bald eagle it’s big and place and it has no feathers on its head so it’s bald

I don't think you will find many people who let their chickens roost in trees. Mostly due to predators. But roosting in trees is their natural way of doing it. So nothing wrong with it if it works for you. Do the ducks actually sleep on the water? I always assumed they slept on the shore.
