My chicken's toe is bleeding.

please can someone help my male chickens middle toe on his left foot i don;t know but a whole outer layer came off and now there is nothing but a sharp point all bloodied i don;t know waht to do please respond

Have you washed his toe and looked at wound? What outer layer came off,skin,nail? Sharp point, is it his nail?
