My chickens won't get in the roost.

My chickens will not get into their roosting area and nest boxes.
We put a ladder and a ramp going up into it but they just don't seem to be understanding how to get up there. I have gone in to the coop and helped each one up but they will not go by themselves. I am afraid they will start laying eggs on the floor of the coop.
Can anyone give me some advice on this?

Can you post pics maybe that would help? Can you close them in that area for awhile?

Yes, pictures would help.....

Make sure there isn't too much space in between the rungs of the ladder.

Try putting some treats/crumbles on the rungs or ramp.....that's how I taught my chicks to go up the ramp to their coop.

Also, how old are they? My chicks slept in a pile next to the next boxes until they were about 4-5 months old.
