My chickens won't go out in the snow

I guess I really spoil mine, I usually clear an area of snow with a path going to it. At least the ladies are willing to go out in the yard, my 2 roosters don't want to leave the comfort of the hen house. LOL

I tried to herd my 5 GLW chickens outside into the snow filled run. You cannot herd chickens-don't bother trying.

My turkeys will go out and pack down the snow, then the chickens will follow, but not for very long. The turkeys will stay out if I let them all day in the snow. Doesn't seem to bother their feet at all. I think they do go in the coop and warm up from time to time.

We got about 4" here in middle Tn...I was off the day it snowed but the wind was blowing so freaking hard they mostly stayed in the coop. The next day (I had to work of course) my husband said they wanted out, so he let them out of the run and they took off like normal. Wish I could have been there to see them.

We got about 4 inches of snow and our six girls (8 month old RIR) barely poked their heads out of the coop ... I say ditto to "Its gonna be a lonnnng winter in the coop"
