Okay, so the weather is getting warmer and my hens are still being stubborn about laying. I give them layerfeed and oyster shells mixed in their food. I sprayed them with some chicken stuff to help reduce stress and increase egg production. They have nesting boxes and a nice house to nest in. Why wont they lay? What can I do to get them to lay? Could there be something wrong with them?

well i know they have to be at least 20-25 weeks old to start laying, and that is the early side of it.

They also need like 14 hours of daylight or something like that to lay. do you use any lighting? Not sure where you are or how long your days are, or average temps.

Did you raise them? What breeds are they, I didn't see that said.

I didnt raise my silkies and araucanas from chicks. I have some welsummers I have had since birth and 1 started laying but its on and off. Sometimes she will lay and sometimes she wont.
