hey there everyone
i have just found out i have a rooster as he has just startd to crow does this mean that he will be or could be maken fertile eggs as i have seen him mount one of my girls and she is laying a egg a day but not sitting on nest so they wudnt be fertile wud thay?

If it's a very young rooster the eggs probably won't be fertile yet. They need time to mature and get the hang of the mating thing.

so if they were to be fertile she would be sitting on them wouldnt she ??

Broodiness is a hormonal thing. A hen will either go broody by herself, 'cause she feels like it. Or, if you leave her eggs in the nest, she may get the hint and decide to go broody and sit. This sometimes works, but not always.
They have no idea whether or not the eggs are fertile. They just do what instinct tells them. And that is to keep the eggs warm.
