My chickens!

My kids have named our rooster Bossy. The girls are named Angel, Sausage, Biscuit, Midnight, Betty, and Tomatoe. We hatched two babies from our Ameraucana rooster and our New Hampshire Red hen. Anxious to see if they are Roos or hens, and what they will look like being mixed.

Welcome to BYC, maybe he wouldn't be "Bossy," if he had another 3 or 4 hens. A rooster can handle 10 hens, less than that and they tend to overbreed the hens they can catch.

They named him bossy cuz they think he's the boss. We're hoping to hatch a good amount of more chicks in the spring. Keeping fingers crossed that the two in the basement are hens to add to the flock.
