My chickies don't like me :(

A raisin is the ticket. Hand = raisin and soon you won't be able to walk because of the swarm of chickens at your feet.

I was nervous about giving mine treats at a young age too, so I stuck with yogurt. I put yogurt on my finger and she would come and get it off. Now, when she sees me walk up to the brooder she runs to me. When she sees my hand, she immediately starts looking for yogurt.

Dip your finger in water and stick it in chick feed. The feed will stick to your finger and they will come and pick it off. They love it even though they have a whole dang feeder of it.

My chicks were the same way, just give them a few days without touching them, then put some chick food in your hand and stick your hand in the brooder and say "here chicky" or "here chick chick chick" or whatever you prefer saying. And also after a day or two of doing that pick them up and talk to them calmly when your holding them, and do that all the time, and soon they should be nice!

I've been doing all this. They seem a lot more friendlier every day.
I was just worried they wouldn't grow out of it because I was cuddling with them and they still were like "MONSTERRRRR" lol. But they are getting to like me more.

Cheese is the ticket for me. I don't have any raisins or yogurt in the house. I'll have to buy some. Lol they love cheese!!!

I think when chickens come to associate humans with food, they get friendlier.

And when they realize that a human in their vicinity does not mean that a predator is in their vicinity, they welcome humans.

Cuddling is not really a chicken thing, unless you count being close together on a perch at night??

You keep treating them they will come around. I think chicks are so skiddish anyway. Older birds seem more relaxed. Some are more friendly than others. Actually I had a barred rock that was the nicest bird when she was a chick and now I can't hardly even get near her.

Lol yeah I know they aren't made for cuddling.

Just a pet or two would be nice! I was worried that my chicks would grow up to fear me but I think they are getting used to me.

Aw I'm sorry your barred rock isn't friendly anymore.

I hope none of mine do that.

I have plenty that like me. Sometimes too much.

She may come around yet. She's still pretty young.
