My chicks are hatching

They are a cross between a Rhode Island Red Rooster and Black Australop hens. Seven have hatched so far, with 3 having a white spot on their head and the other four completely black on the heads. Does this mean they can be sex-linked. If so, which ones are the males and which are the females. Several more peeping.
 
Oh, that must be so exciting for you. Sorry, can't help you about the sex-link thing. The only one of mine that had a white spot her head was a barred-rock. RIR and Astralop will make wonderful layers!

Something must have went wrong. Had 36 eggs (11 bantam, 25 large brown eggs), due to hatch yesterday. Only 10 have hatched so far, three more died while peeping and so far nothing else. None of the bantam egg have peeped. When I was getting out the last three this morning noticed the water rings were almost dry. I had filled them just before Lockdown. Don't know what I may be doing wrong.
