My chicks are here!!!! pics

Congratulations! Just wondering, what are PBR's?
Plymouth Barred Rocks...yeah I noticed after I did it that everyone here just calls them BRs. Oh well!

N&MSchroeder, Yeah I will be keeping that one...I would love a white EE!!! I am keeping the two that are the most different from each other, with the hopes that I get two different colored EEs.
Last night they were so funny.... a fly got into the brooder and was circling the light and the chicks were going absolutley nuts!!! They were running all around

and jumping trying to get that dang fly. I could have watched them for hours. Hopefully I can get another one or two in there today and watch the action!! My son was laughing so hard

watching those chickies zoom around the brooder.

Here i'd the picture I made out of scrap wood..I used a shim to make the ladder to the roost. no one has been brave enough to try it out yet.
What do you guys think?

Here are some updated pics of the girls...I am down to just my five now, my friends have picked up their chickies. There is one that I am afraid is a Roo...and of course it is my son's favorite chicken of the bunch. Maybe you guys and help me figure out if it a Roo or not. I know that it is too early to get a definite on if it is a boy or not but we can guess, eh?

Here is the one I think is a Roo..what do you think:

Well, hopefully that stays true

...I tried to feather sex them when I got them. I have also checked their spurs and they all seem to be very low on their legs, right next to their "heels". The one I am worried about is the most dominant one I have. She likes to be the first to check new things out and will push the others out of her way when she wants something, or just to be "the Boss" I guess.

Here's some more pictures of the girlies...I have slowly been introducing our dog Daphne to the chickens since we got them. This was the first time I let her walk around with the chickens in the kitchen. She is a very mild tempered dog so I figured she would do good with them. I just kept telling her they are babies and to be gentle. We have moved the chickens from the playroom to the living room and now leave the lid off the entire time we are home, and even when they are roosting on the side of the brooder she will just walk right by them without a second glance. I was holding Blondie and Dahne approached us and started sniffing and licked her. Blondie didn't like that too much, she started pecking Daphne's nose a little bit, not too hard or anything but Daphne is a big baby and went running

, and hid under the futon...LOL it was hilarious to see this 55 lb. dog scared of this little bitty bird.
