Is that bad for them? Whenever I let them out into the sideyard and they find one, they totally go gangbusters and eat it up like cotton candy! My adult hens could care less about spiderwebs.

Does anyone know if this is unhealthy for my little girls? I only let them out into the yard when I'm with them, so I can try to stop them from doing it. Any thoughts/opinions??? Thx.

Don't worry yourself with this. Mine eat what ever movies in the yard. I will let mine out, and I will see my black australorpe rooster running around the yard with a huge frog hanging out of his mouth, in addition to a pile more chickens chasing him wanting some of his goodies. When we brood, and I can find bugs, I will throw them inside, and the chicks will play with the bugs, and then eat them. Chickens are great for bugs.
