My girls are about six weeks old. We’ve had them for five weeks. They free range when we are home in the backyard. We live in South Florida. The temps are in the 90’s. They stay close to their coop. They respond to our voice and usually come out of the bushes when we call them. I’ve tried feeding them tablescraps but they don’t seem to want anything besides their feed and mealworms. Recently they began coming to the patio door. They see us inside. Do you think they are lonely and want to come in the house?? They are all currently hanging out and looking inside and making a lot talking noises. It’s adorable. I’m just not sure about the meaning??

Mine do this too our oldest LovelyRita pecks at the door sometimes I grab a small dog crate slip her in it and she sits on the table in her crate and watches tv no kidding!!! They are all so cute and she is the oldest chicken so I just amuse her.

I wouldn’t mind letting them come in but our house runs at 73 degrees. I’m afraid they will get too cold!
