My chicks's first outside adventure! with pics!

Well, since the weather was fantastic today (for early April!) and in the high 80s, I decided to take my chickies out in the back yard for a little while.

It was hiliarious! For the first 10 minutes, they had no idea what to do! They all stood huddled in a little group until finally some of them got brave and ventured out. Soon, they were all pecking the ground and having a grand ol' time! Of course I took pictures!!

the babies are so cute we just bought 6 chickens, are first ever im getting ready to build a run for them im thinking of restoring our big barn or building a brand new 8x8 coop and run.

Ohhh I can't wait to take my first flock out for their first time! I want to make a large corral for them to enjoy the california sunshine so Saturday will be their first day outside! Adorabe ...RIR's? I'm verry new to this but they look like my RIR.

Thanks for all the comments everyone! They certainly did enjoy it, and I took them out again yesterday. I had a feeling they would have stayed out there if I let them

Might as well go out and get some sunshine while the weather's nice.

It's so much fun, you'll love it too! They're actually Red Leghorns, they look kinda similar.​

LOVE peeps in the sun. Those first few outings are such fun! I like to put a small mound of starter mash on the ground, to help the babies get the scratching idea. Then, I place a tree limb inside the cage, so they can play and roost.Love your fine pictures!
