my chooks are killing eachother

i reared my first cihcken a few yrs ago, then the nxt yr i reared two they are my whole life my life revolved around them i took them where i went. after a while my dad bulit me a proper chook yard a my first chook came back to live in town with me. when i let them go together the younger chooks pecked the older one. i bought my rooster and my other two hens in town they all started pecking at her, but before that the two young ones nearly killed her one time it took her ages for her to recover from that, oone of my family members suggested that i should change their diet so i did i gave them cracked corn, wheat, layer pellets and sunflower seeds when they molt. but in march they finished her off they killed her nealry 6 months after that she meant alot to me it broke my heart to see her like that. im not sure why they did it i need some suggestions.

I'm sorry you have suffered such grief.
what they are doing is called "pecking order," to determine who is top rooster, or top hen etc. Once everyone knows their place in line - peace is usually restored. Putting new chicks with old can start the fighting all over again. The best way to introduce new ones (or old ones) is to have a coop or cage divided so the birds can see each other but, are not able to peck After a few days -they are used to seeing each other and may get along better when loose.

The thing is you had only one older hen and the rest are all youngsters, so they all ganged up on her. It wasn't a fair fight but, chickens can be like that. If you find only one or two chickens are causing the fights you can put them in a cage away from the others for a few days. Then when you put them back with the flock they may forget who they were fighting with.

she was the middle the two that came with my rooster were only two or three weeks older than her and they were together for a while before comin back to my house in town
i had the one that died separeted from the others for a while when i put her back in with them they were all fine then they just started allover again
