I was given a duckling yesterday and she is only a few days old. When I found her at the store she was lying on her back kicking her little feet in the air because she was not able to stand by herself. She has problems balancing and always tries to stand on her tippy toes and this causes her to fall over. She also has extremely small wings, smaller than all of the other ducklings she was with, so this worries me. Could her wings be the problem of her balance? Or will she ever be able to support herself? I've tried putting nutritional yeast in her food but I really think that the problem will keep on because of her lack in wing size. I am very worried and would love any advice.

thank you

I would consider continuing with the yeast, but also give her some other vitamins. It may take a while for changes to take place. Is she crested (has a poof on her head)?

Yes she had a poof, but she passed away a few days ago. I'm still not sure why

so sorry

So sorry to hear that. The survival rate of crested ducklings is a lot lower than non-crested ducklings.
