my Cochin nesting box

my Cochin Honker is broody im letting her do it,she wants to be a mom. but i noticed one egg broke i would like to change her litter for her can i do this or will it stop her or mess anything up for her. this is my first time doing this . and should i seperate her .the others are leaving her alone i have 2 red 2 Marans 1 polish rooster with her . ty she dont seem to mind when i bring her meal worms and come near her.the others just look and leave her alone and co co just watches if someone goes near coop .ill see him in field run closer to look.just dont want to mess this up. but want to help her feel better plz ty

Yes, you should clean up the nest. I separate mine while they are sitting on eggs but not while they are rasing the chicks. here is a link to one article on broodies. there are lots of threads about broodies here.
