Good morning
I have a 13 week old frizzle easter egger cockrel that was hatched and brooded with silkies. I have 2 silkie cockrels. They all got along well until last night when the easter egger attacked one silkie cockrel. He calmed down and they all slept fine. This morning it started again. It's quite vicious. Any help is appreciated.

Currently there are 5 pullets in with him. I have 4 more but they are 5 weeks old so they're not together yet. I am reaching out to see if anyone would like to have him in case It doesn't work out.

That's a good idea. With a total of 9 females only 1 rooster will be needed, or none if you don't intend to hatch chicks. For two reasons. They will fight and stress out the hens, which can lead to laying problems, and also they will over mate the hens and cause feather damage and loss, or worse.

Yes, that may be the way to go. I was hoping for harmony among the flock. I know someone that is looking for a silkie rooster so that is an option for one of them.

If I lived closer I’d be interested in one. 😭 I have 15 hens and no roo since the one we had became so aggressive towards people that he was leaving scars etc. good luck finding them new homes
