Superb! It's evident that lots of planning went into it before you began, e.g., the long overhanging roof to keep rain from entering through the windows below.

Thanks guys! I'm excited about the project. I'm hoping to get the interior built out and painted this weekend.
I live in Pilot Hill, CA. It's in the foothills above Sacramento. Basically about an hour or so from Lake Tahoe.

The view here really is awesome. I'm grateful for every day I get to live here.

I'll get some more picts to post this weekend.

Here are the chicks. They are about 4 weeks old now. I've never had chickens before, so this has been fun so far

I've also never built anything like this either. It's been a great learning experience.

What a great looking coop and your chicks certainly will enjoy the view. Chickens are the best and you will have so much fun with them.

Here is the latest update.

With some help of a good friend I was able to get the 2x8 hem fir fascia board installed. I also spent some time working on the inside of the coop.
I got the chicken door built and installed as well as the nest boxes. Today I just finished putting 2 coats of primer on the walls after a night of patching and sanding!

WOW, I've lived in some houses that weren't built this well!!!!!! GOOD JOB!

You know you have to name it and CHRISTEN it before the chicks move in, don't you?

You take a bottle of bubbly (wine or Coke), two glasses, and a bag of chicken manure out to the coop.
You pour the bubbly and everyone toasts the coop by name. Then you throw handfuls of chicken poop on the freshly painted walls
while simultaneously letting the chicks go inside as you shout: "LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!"
