It was a great day to take them out to this. Top is on the fenced in area, and they are loving it outside. Still "chciken" of some things, but getting braver each day:)

My husband did such a wonderful job on it. He even moved the roosts again as I was just not sure it would work the original way.

Most were taken with my cell phone. Not as good as others that were taken with my real camera.

Very nice! It sure looks comfortable! Agreed about the vents to give some ventilation flow, and also do you have perches them to sleep on in there? But otherwise, it looks wonderful! Great job on it, it's very attractive and I'm sure the chickens are going to love it.

If you look at pic # 3 and # 4 on each side of the coop, there are windows. We had to critter proof them due to the woods behind the coop. They open, and are lined with hardware cloth, and then a frame over that inside. They both have a lock on the outside, and I leave them open each day, and then open the pop door too. The pop door has a lock on the outside, and then another inside that so that any critter will have 2 thick pieces of wood to get through.

I have read about proper ventalation, but any advice is always welcome

Lovely! You might also want to slant the top of the nest boxes or they will sit up there and get it all poopy!! I vote for more vents, too, just to be safe!

Congrats! I think it's fabulous! Would it be too forward to ask round abouts how much it cost you to build it? I need about seven or eight just like it! I don't know if mine would look so professional though. Neither myself nor my hubby have any carpentry skills. LUCKY!
